Speaking of which - I got slightly embarrassed today. My boss saw my google calendar. I was trying to show her some work related stuff but she noticed all the sabats and phases of the moon on there and asked if they were on there by default. I just left it. I didn't fancy trying to explain that no I'm not some kind of neo druid or some such shight. Apologies if you're an all out wiccan or whatever but I'm just not. But it would have sounded so weak saying that actually I like to follow the seasons and the natural cycles of nature purely for mental well being.
I mean, if you are responsible for your experience of the world and you're working on linear time, you'll always be striving for the next and the next bigger thing. Where as if you're just thinking in cycles it's a good crop this year, not so good last year and next year who knows. It's far kinder to yourself and doesn't pull you ever onward toward your inevitable demise.
In art theory or philosophy it's part of the difference between modernism and postmodernism.
Cor hippy much? Oh dear
